Description

Black tea with bergamot … if you’re a tea drinker, you either love the stuff or hate it. And if you love it, you can’t get enough. So come to Tea Noir for your fix!

The base for Tea Noir’s version of the classic Earl Grey tea is a blend of premium, tippy black tea leaves from the Yunnan region of China and the Darjeeling region of India, with a hint of Ceylon for body. Those tea leaves have been dosed with a double shot of oil of bergamot, giving Earl Black a heady aroma and great flavour.

Earl Black is amazing drunk straight up, but a hint of sugar and cream are fabulous for bringing out the bergamot character of the blend.

History lesson! Earl Grey tea quickly became a Victorian favourite after it was popularised by Charles, second Earl Grey, the British prime minister in the 1830s. No one really knows where the idea for the blend came from, but the stories (rescuing children from tigers, saving people from drowning, etc.) are great. And hey, the tea is delicious, so what more could you want?
