Description
Fruit teas and tisanes are great, but sometimes you get sick of the same old thing – peach tea, raspberry tea, even the occasional blueberry gets old if you’ve had it often enough. Let’s face it – sometimes you just want something different.
Well, look no further! Tea Noir has you covered with this daringly different yerba mate blend – Let’s Split, a sassy confection that combines crisp yerba mate with the natural flavours of banana, walnut, and cherry!
Yerba mate is a traditional South American herb that’s a great alternative to normal teas. Its taste is like nothing you’ve ever encountered – crisp, green, and almost grassy, a little like the best green tea you’ve ever had. Unlike green tea, however, it’s never bitter – just smooth and delicious to the last drop.
Yerba mate also packs a punch, for those times you need to stay awake but you’re not in the mood for coffee. While some folks claim that mate’s wallop comes from a chemical other than caffeine, that’s not true – mateine, the active ingredient, is just a chemical synonym for caffeine.
However, many people notice that they don’t get jittery from mate the way they do from coffee. It’s a strong buzz, but a much gentler one.
Let’s Split blends that fresh, crisp yerba mate with toasted walnuts and the natural flavour of banana, then tops it all off with just a hint of cherry. This blend brews up a gorgeous, bright yellow-green in the cup and is wonderful with or without sugar and milk!

About Yerba Mate
Megan –
I received this tea in a sampler pack, and opened the packet despite the fact that I don’t particularly care for bananas. The tea smelled so good, I had to try it. Totally reminds me of banana bread, which is the one banana application I do approve of. I will happily drink this again.
