Description
High tea … it’s the stuff of pure elegance. Can you really get any more decadent than setting aside part of your afternoon for tea and snacks? Here at Tea Noir, we love the Victorian dedication to tea, and this blend is our homage to that era.
Victoriana blends our popular Earl Black double-bergamot tea with lavender and rosemary. While you don’t see those herbs used as tea ingredients very often anymore, they were extremely popular in Victorian England – especially since both lavender and rosemary were well-known as relaxation aids. One sip of this extraordinarily retro blend will calm your body, mind, and soul!
The fragrance of this blend will transport you to a lush English garden, just at teatime. It begins with a citrus note, potent but not overwhelming, and then picks up with the piney aroma of rosemary. As you start brewing the tea, the delicate lavender notes come out and soothe away all your cares. It’s an expressive blend that evolves as you brew and sip – the perfect tea to sit with for your afternoon break from the world.
We prefer Victoriana drunk straight up or with a hint of sugar. Cream goes well, but try it on its own, too – the delicate flavours really come out.
