Ah,torrone . The Italians are masters of mixing flavours and coming up with something addictively delicious – one taste of torrone candy will tell you that!
Here at Tea Noir, we’ve adapted the traditional almond-and-honey confectionary combo into drinkable form. Smooth, toasty, and delicious, you’re sure to fall in love!
Our Torrone tisane blends roasted, toasted yerba mate with toasty almonds. The toasted mate gives the blend a hint of natural sweetness, like the honey in traditional torrone candy, but completely vegan-friendly.
This is a wonderful, aromatic, full-bodied brew that goes down incredibly smoothly – never any bitterness, no matter how long you steep it. Mate is a wonderful brew, and toasted almonds just make it better!
Torrone is delicious on its own, but it also goes very well with honey, sugar, and/or cream added.

Slightly toasty, sweet, and nutty.
Preparation
Brew with water just off the boil (200F) for 3-5 minutes for the initial steeping. You can save the leaves in the fridge and re-steep them 1-2 more times. Pairs well with sugar, honey, or cream.

About Yerba Mate
Yerba mate is a South American herb with a wonderfully crisp, herbal, “green” flavour. Because of the particular balance of chemicals in yerba mate, although it contains a good bit of caffeine and gives you a buzz, many people find that the energy they get lasts longer and is gentler than a pure caffeine buzz. You can re-steep yerba mate leaves several times – just keep the leaves in the fridge between brewings, and steep them longer each time, up to 3 times. Mate often brews up slightly cloudy – don’t worry, it’s supposed to do that!
